It's big, it's awesome, and it's here: courtesy of Marsupial Mamas, BWI chapters can win an Instant Lending Library consisting of: one short wrap, one long wrap, one mei tai, one ring sling, and one soft structured carrier. This is an AWESOME prize, and we are so thankful to Marsupial Mamas for their incredibly generous donation!
Now - how do you enter? Create and submit original artwork in one of these themes: Babywearing For Life or The Life of a Babywearer. You may interpret these however you wish - please be creative!
Individuals may submit as many entries as they want. All artwork must be completely original and be owned by the entry submitter. High quality digital images, photos or scans are accepted with a resolution of 300dpi and a minimum size of 4"x6" (so at least 1200 x 1800 dpi). Low resolution images will be rejected. This large file should be emailed to email@example.com indicating which chapter it is an entry for. Note that all submissions must grant a non-exclusive license to BWI and TBW for the right to use (in original and altered forms) the art for our non-profit purposes in print and online. This includes winning and non-winning entries.
All entries must be received by June 6, 2014. In addition to submitting via email, you must also complete the release form and post a low-resolution version in the official thread on TBW. You can do that here:
From the time of submission to this thread until June 13, the entries will be voted on via the "likes" feature on TheBabywearer.com. (In order to vote by "liking", you must have an account on TBW.) At 11:59 pm EST on June 13, the 5 entries with the highest number of “Likes” will move on to the final judging round. One additional “Wildcard” entry will be picked by members of BWI’s Board of Directors that are not serving on the judging panel. The jury will deliberate from June 14 - 20, with the final winner announced on June 21.
The final jury will be comprised of 7 people pulled from TBW moderators and BWI’s Board of Directors. (Note: to avoid conflicts of interest, no one will be selected for the final jury whose chapter is represented by any of the entries to be judged.)
Only BWI Chapters are eligible to win. Any artist may submit as long as they designate a BWI chapter as their beneficiary.
